All are invited to Family Fun & Fit Day on Friday, June 2 from 9 am to Noon at Playground Park – 5th & Eisenhower in Junction City.
The event is free and open to the public.
According to Konza Prairie Community Health Center WIC dietitian and event organizer Kalie Brownlee, Family Fun-n-Fit Day will promote community events and resources, offer fun family fitness activities, inspire healthy choices for all ages, and encourage safety awareness.
Attendees will find 35 community organizations with games, crafts, and information, a fitness activity area, and local first responder vehicles.
Kids can get a free bike helmet, life jackets, and free lunch – while supplies last.
Whether you’re new to the community or have been here a while, Brownlee feels that this event is a great opportunity for families to learn what’s available.
“There are so many great ways to stay active, get healthy, and be involved in the community and we’re glad to help make these connections,” she said.
