Family Fun-n-Fit Day will Have Summer Fun for Everyone
All are invited to Family Fun & Fit Day on Friday, June 7 from 9 am to Noon at Playground Park – 5th & Eisenhower in Junction City.
The event is free and open to the public. According to Konza Prairie Community Health Center WIC dietitian and event organizer Kalie Kipp, Family Fun-n-Fit Day will promote community events and resources, offer fun family fitness activities, inspire healthy choices for all ages, and encourage safety awareness.
Attendees will find more than 25 community organizations with games, crafts, and information, plus a fitness activity area.
Kids can get a free lunch – while supplies last – provided by United HealthCare Community Plan, Hy-Vee, Geary Community Schools Foundation, and Geary County LHEAT.
Whether you’re new to the community or have been here a while, Kipp feels that this event is a great opportunity for families to learn what’s available. “There are so many great ways to stay active, get healthy, and be involved in the community and we’re glad to help make these connections,” she said.
